Psychology was my first love.

I became a doctor because I wanted to help people. But to be honest with you, psychology was always my first love. For as long as I can remember, I’ve wanted to understand people and why they do what they do. What I didn’t expect was how much those two worlds, psychology and medicine, would need each other.

People weren’t leaving appointments lacking information. They were leaving lacking space.

Space to ask questions, understand nuance, and feel like someone actually understood their situation. So I stopped waiting for the system to create that space, and started building it myself.

In 2025, I launched What We Wish You Knew: live events that bring expert doctors and everyday people together to talk about health honestly and openly. Now the mission is growing, to reach more people, and to create spaces for physicians who went into medicine for the same reasons I did.

Outside medicine, I’m a mom (my most cherished role), a stepmom, a dog mom, and a trained Pilates instructor. I’m holding a lot too, and I know we do better together. Family and community are at the heart of everything I do, including this.
